Banks & ATMs
Opening hours for Egyptian banks are generally Monday to Thursday 8.30am-2pm, plus an evening shift (5-8pm in winter, 6-9pm in summer); some also open similar hours on Saturday, and from 10am to noon on Sunday (details are given as relevant in the text). Most foreign banks are open from 8.30am to 1pm Monday to Thursday, and sometimes on Sunday - link to list of banks and ATM guide - text about currency exchange, traveller checks, credit cards, moneygram and western union.

Large Experience of Little Buddha

Suddenly, the large wooden doors were opened and the sun-lit promenade has gradually turned into an extravaganza of yellow-deep orange-brown lights casting unforgettable shadows.

Ras Atantur Bay
This is a rich and well-preserved site, with a phenomenal density and diversity of fish and coral life. Located in the center of a small bay, just beyond the bluff of Ras Atantur, the dive site is a small reef promontory extending into the bay. This reef has a steeply angled profile, and is surrounded by steep sand slopes.
These slopes are well dotted with coral heads, while the reef itself has every conceivable type of coral present, in staggeringly dense formations. This is probably the best site for hard corals in the entire region.

Kamanga
Not only is this an excellent party venue, but their food is incredibly delicious! Kamanga is known for the daily theme nights that bring flavour and variety to partygoers. Kamanga is ideally located at the top of Na’ama Bay, which makes it perfect for people who dread walking long distances, as there’s a parking space right in front of the venue – a rare commodity in Sharm nowadays. Also, it has an open license until the very early hours of the morning, great for those of you who like staying out all night. Their most recent creation at Kamanga is the weekly Saturday party: Car Wash. We won’t say more than: you have got to attend one!

Columbus Restaurant & Cafe
Situated in Banks St. near Alf Leila Wa Leila, Columbus Restaurant and Cafe can be recognized from a distance by its large green sign. The design of the place is extremely unique and eye-catching (definitely a must see) right down to the wooden tables and chairs that seemed to make me feel as if I was on board a ship with the paintings of ships on the wall and ship models above the counter, all adding to the effect... Also, the large windows present an excellent spot to watch all the action for an entertaining evening.

Post, Phones & Interent
Airmail ( bariid gawwi) stamps can be purchased at post offices, hotel shops and postcard stands, which may charge a little bit more above the normal rate. Express Mail Service (48hr to Europe or the US, which costs £E37-48 for letters under 100 grammes). Private courier firms such as Federal Express or DHL are available, and a lot more expensive.
A 24-hour telephone and telegraph office ( maktab el-telephonat, or centraal) for calling long-distance and abroad is located at Al Hadaba infront of the police station.
